Way prior to any knowledge i had about the potential abilities and powers of Amethyst, growing up my father had a very large chunk of amethyst about 3/4 the size of a bowling ball and he always kept it on his dresser and about 8 years ago i asked my father if i could take a chunk of it for myself he said sure but you wont be able to just pop it off easily and ibjust used my hand and broke it along the path of least resistance . So a couple days later i started to doze off on the couch with the amethyst in my hand and that was my first out of body experience and while i saw myself from above i literally could see a few of what i now know were my Chakra points and crown chakra (third eye) point was glowing so brightly where as the other 2 or 3 that i could easily see were much more dull in contrast. From that point on i began my spiritual journey and often travel via Astro projection and am in touch with my inner self on a level i never knew possible. That was the day my 3rd eye really became open and was also a major turning point in my life for the better. I was a borderline skeptic at the time and it has drastically changed so much for me . Do not doubt the capabilities of a gem/mineral that has existed and endured and absorbed all this energy from Gaia and nature itself the negative ions produces a potent positive effect on us. I always carry a smaller chunk with me and sleep at night with some under my pillow haha

curious if anyone who reads this knows about the relationship between quartz crystals and ancient civs. as an engineering student my brain is wired to think as logically as possible so please don’t take it the wrong way when i say that i find it hard to believe that a stone has healing properties. however, i have seen and heard about certain ancient civs having quartz for religious rituals and things of that nature which leads me to believe that there must be SOMETHING to the quartz that is incredibly useful if it crops up in different civs
